Method of preparation
In a suitable container, mix the eggs, flour, oil, vanilla and ½ tea cup sugar. Mix until you get a cake mix. Spread the fine crusts and separate one crust. Cover it abundantly with the mixture and cover with a second crust. Pieces of Turkish Delight are placed in the narrow end of the crust and rolled into a tight roll. The rolled crusts are placed in a round or rectangular tray, previously greased. Repeat until the products run out.
The Banitsa is baked in a preheated oven at 180 degrees with a fan until done. While it is baking, the sugar syrup is prepared. The remaining sugar is put in 2 tea cups water and left to boil over low heat to dissolve completely. When the cake has cooled down, syrup it with the hot sugar syrup and leave it for at least 2-3 hours in the cold to syrup it evenly.
