Pumpkin Burek
Necessary products
white pumpkin – 600 gr. (cleaned and peeled)
flour – 500 gr.
sugar – 100 gr.
baking powder – 1 packet
butter – 125 gr.
cinnamon – 1 tsp.
powdered sugar – 5-6 tbsp.
Method of preparation
The pumpkin is grated and mixed with sugar and cinnamon.
A thick dough is kneaded from the flour and baking powder, into which the pumpkin is added. It is spread in an oiled pan, cut into rhombuses or squares and baked at 170 degrees until red. Then it is poured with melted butter and baked until it absorbs the fat. The burek is served cold, sprinkled with powdered sugar.
